How this site treats information

Privacy policy

This policy explains, in plain language, what Treetopadventures does and does not do with information when you read the guides. It is written for users in Canada.

General provisions

Treetopadventures is an independent editorial site about outdoor travel. The pages are static reading pages. They do not ask you to create an account, submit a booking, or pay for anything. This policy describes that setup. It does not claim that the site has been certified under any particular statute, and it does not describe a registration that has not been provided.

If you follow a link in a review to a park, a lodge, or another publisher, that destination has its own practices. This policy covers only the pages published here.

What data may be processed

You can read every guide without giving a name, email address, or payment detail. The pages do not contain forms that collect those details. The 10 Essentials checklist on the safety guide keeps its marks in the page while it is open. Those marks are not sent to Treetopadventures and are not written to an account.

If you contact an operator named in a review, you are dealing with that operator, not with this publication.

Technical data

When a browser requests a page, the network and the host that delivers the file may process ordinary technical data such as an IP address, the date and time of the request, the browser type, and the address of the page. That processing is a normal part of serving a website. This publication does not add a separate analytics product to the pages, and it does not receive a private dashboard of visitors from the HTML itself.

Cookies

The HTML and scripts published here do not set cookies and do not use a cookie banner, because they do not run a tracker or a login. A browser, a network provider, or a host may still use its own technical measures. Those measures are outside the scripts on these pages. The checklist and the region buttons do not write a cookie.

Purposes of processing

Any technical data involved in delivering the pages is used to show the page you asked for, to keep the connection reliable, and to protect the service from abuse. The editorial text is published so readers can study trips in Canada. It is not used here to build a marketing profile, to score credit, or to sell a list of readers.

Legal bases

Readers in Canada reasonably expect a site to say why information is handled and how to raise a concern. Where technical data is processed simply to deliver a page you requested, that delivery is the reason. This policy does not invent an extra purpose, and it does not assert formal compliance with a named act.

Third-party services

The pages do not embed third-party advertising, payment widgets, or social plugins. Photographs are files on this site. Fonts are the ones already on your device. If a future version of the site adds a host, a font service, or an analytics tool, this policy should be updated before that tool is presented as absent.

Names of parks, lodges, maps, and gear that appear in the reviews are part of the articles. Mentioning them does not mean those organizations receive data from this site when you read a paragraph.

Data storage and protection

Because the pages do not collect account profiles, there is no reader database kept by the editorial project. Server logs, if the host keeps them, are the host’s records and should be limited to what is needed to operate and secure the site. No payment card data is collected here, because no payment is taken.

User rights

You may read the guides without identifying yourself. If you believe a host log or some later feature holds information about you, you may ask what it is, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion where that applies to you. This publication cannot act on a request that never reaches it, and it does not publish a dedicated inbox.

You can also limit what your own browser stores by using private browsing or by clearing site data. The checklist on the safety guide already forgets its marks when the tab is closed.

Age

The site is a general-interest reading project about travel with families and adults. It is not a service directed at collecting information from children. Aerial courses discussed in the canopy guide set operator rules, often including a minimum age, height, and weight. Those rules are safety conditions for an activity. They are not an invitation to send a child’s personal details to this site.

Policy changes

If the pages later add a form, a cookie, or a third-party script, this policy will be revised to describe that change in the same plain language. The version you are reading matches a site that publishes articles, photographs, and small on-page tools only. The date of this version is 30 September 2026.

Contact about privacy

No postal address, telephone number, or email address is published for privacy requests, because none was provided for this publication. Please do not send personal documents to a guessed address. Use the pages of this site as the public record of how the guides are produced, and read the corporate information page for the limits of what the publication is.
